  We endorse Dr. Victor Forys of Park Ridge, an internist and manager of a clinic on Chicago's Northwest side. Forys pledges to modernize the business end of Cook County health services, which he believes the Cook County Board can and should do, by enacting new policies that will collect the tens of millions of dollars of available revenue he claims no one is trying to get. He wants to make permanent the independent health panel. Forys has the backing of the Independent Voters of Illinois and the reform-minded Commissioner Forrest Claypool and U.S. Rep. Mike Quigley
